This year from 2nd to 12th of December 2009 the capital of Bulgaria – Sofia, will host “Best Model of the World” 2009, which is one the few licensed competitions for professional models in the world. Over 100 top models from over 60 countries will arrive, in order to demonstrate their professional skills. They will present fashion collections from 15 of the most well known fashion houses. The event will host very competent jury, as well as 40 journalists from all over the world. The competition will be lead under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and it will be listed in the cultural bill for the month of December.

The owner of the license for the beauty competition is “San Production” which is created in 1996 with its headquarters in Sofia. Its main goal, with which the company has made its name, is in the television show business, as well as in organizing gala spectacles for variety, beauty pageants, and talent shows. Right from its creation the company is the official representative of the competition - “Best model of Bulgaria”
TV1 Production Company is hired from the organizers to be responsible for the television realization of the biggest fashion event in Bulgaria for 2009. The competition will be shot with nine cameras and aired in 4 continents with a turnaround using 5 different satellites.
