Don Quichotte on HD for first time in Bulgaria
Thursday, June 18th, 2009For the first time in Bulgaria, TV1 filmed the opera “Don Quichotte “in high definition format. The 10 camera HD OB Truck is the best in Bulgaria and it offers the full capabilities of the HD technologies. Thanks to the expert supervision of Ravil Rashidovich (engineer) the HD OB Truck has no analog or competition on the broadcast market in Bulgaria.

The premiere of Don Quichotte on the stage of the Sofia Opera House was on 7 March 2009. The artistic team selected an unusual approach to the classical story of Cervantes. The director decided to search for references for modern interpretation of the eternal questions from the literature, to provoke the young spectators to be involved in the action. The presence of the Knight of the Sad Countenance comes in contrast of the modern pragmatic computerized world. The director of the production is Plamen Kartaloff.
